AD 101 Practice Center

Four judgment challenges: problem framing, Use Case pattern judgment, AI pattern matching, and the Value/Data/Risk quick check.

Info

All scenarios are synthetic teaching material; names, units, and figures are illustrative.

Warning

Practice only with the course-provided synthetic scenarios. Never bring unauthorized confidential, personal, or sensitive information into a practice response.

Practice challenges

P1: Problem or Solution?

You are given eight common workplace statements. Judge whether each is an observable problem statement or a solution that already names a tool, then rewrite the solution sentences as problem statements.

Steps

  1. Judge each sentence: problem statement or solution?
  2. Write one reason for each judgment.
  3. Rewrite every "solution" sentence as a tool-free, observable problem statement.
  4. Check the rewrites for any remaining solution bias.

Deliverables

  • Judgment for all eight sentences
  • Eight reasons
  • The rewritten problem statements

P2: Good Use Case / Bad Use Case

You are given six short Use Case descriptions. Judge which ones keep human responsibility and which imply AI can fully replace human judgment, with reasons.

Steps

  1. Judge each: good (keeps human responsibility) or bad (implies AI replaces judgment)?
  2. Point to the specific words or phrases behind each judgment.
  3. Rewrite the "bad" descriptions to keep a human review step.

Deliverables

  • Judgment and evidence for all six
  • The rewritten versions

P3: AI Pattern Match

You are given five work problems. Choose the closest assistance pattern from summarize/extract/classify/draft/analyze/retrieve/workflow assist, and name the user and the owner for each.

Steps

  1. Choose the closest assistance pattern for each problem.
  2. Explain why that pattern fits better than another plausible one.
  3. Name the user and owner for each.

Deliverables

  • Pattern choice and reason for all five
  • User/owner for all five

P4: Quick Readiness Check

You are given four candidate work problems. Run the Value / Data / Risk quick check on each, kept separate, never merged into a total score, and judge which one is most ready to become a formal Use Case first.

Steps

  1. Write separate Value, Data, and Risk descriptions for each item.
  2. Never merge them into a single score.
  3. State which item is most ready to become a formal Use Case first, and why.

Deliverables

  • Value/Data/Risk descriptions for all four
  • Priority judgment and reasoning
