About learner mode

Anyone can browse courses, read modules and download practice files without signing in. When a result needs to be recorded or a form submitted, you use the session code your instructor gives you and a learner code you choose yourself.

Info

This manual explains how to operate the platform. Learning reference material such as course concepts, prompt templates and quick-reference cards is on the Resources page.

Find a course

The Courses page lists every available course and can be filtered by Learning Area, level or keyword. Each course card shows the course code, level and duration. A few courses come in more than one edition: GoAI 101 (government AI) has an 8-hour full edition and a 6-hour essentials edition with the same eight capability facets, and both course pages have a "Which edition?" block that compares them and links to the other one. Each edition issues its own certificate, and in a Learning Path completing either one completes the step.

Use Learning Paths

A Learning Path puts several courses in a recommended order for a goal, such as AI Data Analysis or AI Agent Builder. Prerequisites shown on a path are recommendations only; they never stop you from starting a course.

Continue from My Learning

My Learning uses the progress recorded in this browser to show one primary "Continue learning" action, your progress in each course and a recommended next step.

Navigating a course

  • The course page shows the course code, level, duration, recommended prerequisites and curriculum
  • On a module page, "On this page" (left on desktop, top on mobile) jumps to any section
  • "What next?" at the bottom of each page points to the sensible next place in the course
  • Breadcrumbs take you back up a level
  • Both the course page and module pages have a "Save as PDF" link, which uses your browser's print feature to save the whole course or a single module as a PDF

Learn → Practice → Assess → Apply

  1. Learn
Read the module; the self-checks in each section only help you confirm understanding and are never graded
  2. Practice
Download realistic practice files and complete the practice tasks step by step
  3. Assess
Take the pre-test and post-test with your session code and learner code; they are scored on the server
  4. Apply
Turn what you learned into a Use Case or Canvas for your own work, and complete the Exit Ticket (depending on the course)

Info

The Industry AI Co-creation Lab (IL) course series is project-based: it centers on module reading and a project deliverable (for example, IL 101 requires submitting a Project Charter), and does not always have separate practice, assessment or apply pages.

Session codes and learner codes

The session code comes from your instructor and identifies one actual run of a course. The learner code is one you choose; it links your pre-test, post-test and submissions within that session. Only an open session accepts submissions.

Assessment

Pre-test and post-test questions appear only after you start. Answers are scored on the server; correct answers and explanations never appear on any public page.

Course feedback

When a course ends you can leave course feedback in 2 to 3 minutes: from the bottom of the course home page, your post-test result, the course completion card or My Learning. It needs a sign-in and the session code your instructor gives you (self-paced Industry Lab courses need lesson progress or a credential instead). You can edit or delete it for 7 days; your ratings and comments never show your name.

Progress

By default your progress is stored only in the browser you are using. You can choose to sync it with your session code and learner code, so your completed lessons come back after changing devices or clearing browser data. Courses that issue certificates do so once you meet their requirements, and the certificate then appears in your Skills Passport after you sign in. The two GoAI 101 editions each issue their own L1 completion certificate, which also states the learning hours (8 or 6); the L2 capability certificate additionally needs a reviewed Canvas. Anyone can check a certificate on the public verification page.

No sign-in is needed to view your Learning Portfolio page: it shows a record of your real activity in this browser (completed courses, competency evidence, and practice and assessment completion), all generated from your local browser learning record, so it won’t show up in a different browser or device.

Downloads and resources

Each course practice page lets you preview and download its practice files; the Resources page collects every public practice file, dataset and notebook. All files contain simulated teaching data. For some courses, once you complete a Canvas you can choose to share it; after admin review and de-identification it may appear in the Use Case Library for other learners to see real tool-design examples.

Use Cases and Canvases

In the Apply stage you record a real task from your own work. After submitting, you can follow its status in My Use Cases.

Account and sign-in

Learning, practice and assessment do not require signing in. Signing in is needed for the Skills Passport and for the instructor or admin areas you have been granted.

Language

Use the language switch in the header to move between Traditional Chinese and English. You stay on the same page; both languages have exactly the same structure.

Accessibility

The site can be used entirely with a keyboard, shows a clear focus outline and a "Skip to content" link, and respects your system’s reduced-motion setting.

Privacy reminders

Warning

Never enter company secrets, client personal data or unauthorized sensitive information into any form or AI tool. Do not use your real name as your learner code.

FAQ

  1. Can I learn without a session code?
Yes. Reading modules and practice need no code; only assessments, form submissions and progress sync do.
  2. Can I use different learner codes for the pre-test and post-test?
Please don’t. Use the same code so your results can be matched.
  3. Can I change something after submitting?
An assessment attempt cannot be redone once submitted; resubmitting an Exit Ticket replaces the previous one. For other corrections, contact your instructor.
