AI 101L Apply
Turn what you learned into your own AI Workforce Use Case Canvas
What the final output is for
The AI Workforce Use Case Canvas is AI 101L's final output. Pick one real work task you actually face and write down the task, current baseline, context, how AI helps, the Human-AI-Human workflow, verification, risk, what you tried in class, and your follow-up plan. It becomes the starting point for department interviews and Use Case Discovery.
Info
What to fill in
- Work task (department, task name, trigger, current process)
- Baseline (frequency, time, pain points)
- Inputs and context (source data, sensitivity)
- AI assistance and expected output
- Human-AI-Human workflow (at least three steps)
- Verification (reviewer, review method)
- Risk (consequence if wrong, data and privacy considerations)
- Experiment (what you tried, what worked or failed, next step)
- Key reflection (which step suits AI, which step should not be delegated)
- Follow-up (department interview topic, recommended next course)
A structurally complete Use Case Canvas
A structurally complete submission includes: a clear work task; a specific baseline; context with sensitivity clearly marked; AI assistance that fits the task; a workflow of at least three tagged steps; a clear reviewer; a clear risk description; and a concrete, actionable next experiment.

Exit Ticket
Finally, use the Exit Ticket to record today's most important idea, the step you're still unsure about, the real work you most want to apply this to, the risk you most need to verify, the kind of support you need next, and your difficulty and usefulness ratings.

What you need to complete
- Complete all ten lessons across AI 101L Module 1 and Module 2
- Score at least 80% on the course post-test
- Submit the AI Workforce Use Case Canvas (Practical Assessment) and have it reviewed and passed by a Credential Admin/assessor against the rubric, to earn the Applied AI Workforce Capability Certificate
How you are assessed
A Credential Admin/assessor scores the AI Workforce Use Case Canvas (Practical Assessment) across eight weighted domains: Task Framing, Context, AI/Human Boundary, Execution, Verification, Risk & Governance, Workflow, and Reflection. A score of 80 or above out of 100, with no critical-fail rule triggered, is a PASS; 65 or below, or any triggered critical-fail rule, is a FAIL; 65-79 is Revision Required.
Info
Practical evidence
- A recorded rubric result (PASS, Revision Required, or FAIL) with no critical-fail rule triggered
- A PASS records capability evidence separately for each of the six fine-grained AI 101L competencies (Task Framing, Context Selection, Execution Design, Output Verification, Human Oversight, Use Case Design)
What you can earn
Applied AI Workforce Capability Certificate: earned only once you complete Module 1 and Module 2, score at least 80% on the post-test, and have your Use Case Canvas submitted and reviewed and passed -- all three are required. AI 101L has no separate completion-certificate tier: finishing the modules and post-test alone, without a submitted and passed Canvas, does not issue any credential on its own. To earn a foundation-level certificate, complete AI 101 (the AI Workforce Foundation Course Completion Certificate).
What this credential does not mean
This certificate confirms the holder completed AI 101L's required course and post-test, and demonstrated task framing, context selection, AI/human boundary, execution design, verification, and risk and governance skills on the Use Case Canvas.
- It does not mean the holder holds a formal professional qualification or certification
- It does not mean any specific workflow the holder designs later is automatically correct or safe
- It does not mean human review before high-impact decisions (Human, AI, Human) can be skipped
