DS 102 Assessment
Pre- and post-tests check how your judgment changes on data quality, keys, dates and reshaping, joins, units and definitions, lineage, and AI assistance
Assessment flow
DS 102 follows the platform's assessment model: take the pre-test first, then learn and practice, then take the post-test. The pre-test and post-test are parallel but not identical forms, used to make your learning visible.
- 1Pre-test
Taken before the course, to see your current judgment. The pre-test has no pass mark. - 2Learn
Complete the ten lessons across Module 1 and Module 2. - 3Practice
Complete the five practice tasks. - 4Post-test
Taken after the course; the pass mark is 80%.
Assessment content
Each test has 12 single-answer questions, two per skill area. The questions check judgment, not memorized syntax.
| Skill area | Questions |
|---|---|
| Data quality (missing, duplicates) | 2 |
| Candidate keys and validation rules | 2 |
| Date handling and reshaping | 2 |
| Joins and data relationships | 2 |
| Units and definitions | 2 |
| Lineage and AI assistance | 2 |
How it is scored
Scoring happens on the server. Correct answers and explanations never appear in public pages, downloadable files, or any response before submission. After submitting, explanations are shown only for the questions you missed.
Info
Starting the test requires the cohort code and learner code your instructor gave you. Use your learner code, not your real name.
