DS 201 Assessment
Pre- and post-tests check how your judgment changes on target, baselines, splits and leakage, regression and classification metrics, thresholds and CV, importance, and deployment decisions
Assessment flow
DS 201 follows the platform's assessment pattern: a pre-test first, then learning and practice, then a post-test. The pre-test and post-test are parallel but not identical forms, so learning gains become visible.
- 1Pre-test
Completed before the course, to see your current judgment. The pre-test has no pass mark. - 2Learn
Complete Module 1 and Module 2: ten lessons in total. - 3Practice
Complete the six practice tasks. - 4Post-test
Taken after the course, with an 80% pass mark.
Assessment content
Each test has 12 single-answer questions covering twelve constructs: target, baseline, split, leakage, MAE, RMSE, precision, recall, threshold, cross-validation, importance, and deployment. The questions check judgment, not memorized formulas.
| Construct | Questions |
|---|---|
| target | 1 |
| baseline | 1 |
| split | 1 |
| leakage | 1 |
| MAE | 1 |
| RMSE | 1 |
| precision | 1 |
| recall | 1 |
| threshold | 1 |
| cross-validation | 1 |
| importance | 1 |
| deployment | 1 |
How scoring works
Scoring happens on the server. Correct answers and explanations never appear in public pages, downloadable files, or any response before submission. After submission, explanations are shown only for questions you missed.
