Turn what you learned into a Use Case for your own work

Why apply

Learning the tool is only the first step. In this stage you pick one task that genuinely recurs in your work and record it, as the basis for follow-up department interviews and AI adoption planning.

Use Case Canvas

The Use Case Canvas helps you describe a piece of work: how it is done today, where the pain points are, what help you want from AI, the expected output, what happens if it goes wrong, and how you plan to review it.

Exit Ticket

The Exit Ticket is a short wrap-up before the course ends: the work you most want AI help with, and topics for the follow-up interview.

What you need to complete

  • Complete all of AI 101 Module 1 and Module 2
  • Complete both required practice tasks: the Instruction Design Challenge and the Output Verification Challenge
  • Score at least 80% on the course post-test

How you are assessed

The AI 101 completion certificate is assessed entirely automatically, with no human-reviewed artifact: course progress is tracked from completion records for every slide in Module 1 and Module 2; both required practice tasks must be completed; and the post-test covers six competencies (Task Judgment, Instruction Design, Context Source Awareness, Output Verification, Human-AI-Human, Responsible Use), with a pass threshold of 80%.

This assessment structure is published so you know what the certificate is based on. It is not the same as revealing quiz answers.

Practical evidence

  • Passing the post-test (80% or higher) separately records capability evidence for each of the six fine-grained AI 101 competencies (Task Judgment, Instruction Design, Context Source Awareness, Output Verification, Human-AI-Human, Responsible Use)
  • Each required practice task (the Instruction Design Challenge and the Output Verification Challenge) records its own completion evidence
  • Every slide across Module 1 and Module 2 has its own tracked learning-progress record, not a single "mark complete" button

What you can earn

AI Workforce Foundation Course Completion Certificate: earned by completing Module 1 and Module 2, both required practice tasks, and scoring at least 80% on the post-test. This is the only credential level AI 101 offers; the course has no separate capability certificate. To also earn the Applied AI Workforce Capability Certificate, complete AI 101L and have its Use Case Canvas reviewed and passed.

What this credential does not mean

This credential confirms the holder completed AI 101's required course, required practice tasks, and post-test, meeting the pass threshold on all six competencies (Task Judgment, Instruction Design, Context Source Awareness, Output Verification, Human-AI-Human, Responsible Use).

  • It does not mean the holder holds a formal professional qualification or certification
  • It does not mean any specific instruction or workflow the holder designs later is automatically correct or safe
  • It does not mean human review before high-impact decisions (Human, AI, Human) can be skipped
