DS 103 Assessment
Pre- and post-tests check how your judgment changes on chart choice, scales and baselines, accessibility, claims and aggregation, and source/AI review
Assessment flow
DS 103 follows the platform's assessment model: take the pre-test first, then learn and practice, then take the post-test. The pre-test and post-test are parallel but not identical forms, used to make your learning visible.
- 1Pre-test
Taken before the course, to see your current judgment. The pre-test has no pass mark. - 2Learn
Complete the ten lessons across Module 1 and Module 2. - 3Practice
Complete the five practice tasks. - 4Post-test
Taken after the course; the pass mark is 80%.
Assessment content
Each test has 12 single-answer questions, two per skill area. The questions check judgment, not memorized syntax.
| Skill area | Questions |
|---|---|
| Chart selection | 2 |
| Distribution and relationship | 2 |
| Scales and baselines | 2 |
| Accessibility and labeling | 2 |
| Claims and aggregation | 2 |
| Sources and AI review | 2 |
How it is scored
Scoring happens on the server. Correct answers and explanations never appear in public pages, downloadable files, or any response before submission. After submitting, explanations are shown only for the questions you missed.
Info
Starting the test requires the cohort code and learner code your instructor gave you. Use your learner code, not your real name.
