Government Generative AI & AI Agents: Application, Governance, Procurement & Acceptance
GoAI 101 is an 8-hour, one-day foundational government-AI adoption course for central and local government agencies (the full edition; a 6-hour essentials edition covers the same eight capability facets). Rather than centering on any single model, platform, or tool, it starts from real agency work and builds an integrated capability: AI-use judgment, workflow design, context and trusted data, AI agents, tool and system connection, Human-in-the-Loop, governance and risk control, through procurement specification, testing, and acceptance.
Which edition should I take?
GoAI 101 comes in two editions with the same audience and the same eight capability facets; they differ in time and practice depth. Choose by the time your agency can release.
GoAI 101 · 8-Hour Full Edition: A full day is available and each capability facet should get its own practice and artifact.
| Item | 8-Hour Full (You are viewing this edition) | 6-Hour Essentials |
|---|---|---|
| Learning hours | 8 hours | 6 hours |
| Modules | 8 modules | 6 modules |
| Practice and artifacts | 8 activities with separate artifacts, integrated into a Canvas at the end | 6 activities whose outputs go straight into one integrated Canvas |
| Tools, procurement, and acceptance | Tools / API / MCP, procurement requirements, and acceptance each have a full module | Merged into "data and tool permissions" and "procurement and acceptance decisions"; less technical detail |
| Assessment | Pre-test and post-test; 24-question post-test | 20-question pre-test and post-test |
| Certificate | L1 completion certificate stating the 8-hour edition and learning hours | L1 completion certificate stating the 6-hour edition and learning hours |
| L2 capability certificate | Separately requires a full Canvas reviewed by a Credential Admin | Separately requires the full 14-field Canvas reviewed by a Credential Admin (same standard) |

GoAI 101 · Module 1: Government AI: From Generative AI to Agentic AI
Curriculum
- Module 1Government AI: From Generative AI to Agentic AIWhat can a government agency actually use AI for, and what is not a good fit?
- Module 2Government Workflows and Agentic Workflow DesignHow do you evolve from a single question to AI helping complete a whole work process?
- Module 3Context, Knowledge, and Trusted Government DataWhat should AI actually know when answering a government business question?
- Module 4Tools, APIs, MCP, and Government Information SystemsOnce AI can query data and call tools, how do you control it?
- Module 5Government AI Governance, Security, and Human-in-the-LoopHow much may AI do, and where must a human be?
- Module 6Reliability, Failure Handling, and AI System EvaluationAI being right sometimes does not mean it is ready to become a government system.
- Module 7Government AI Procurement and Requirements SpecificationHow do you avoid unverifiable requirements you cannot later accept?
- Module 8AI System Acceptance, Auditability, and OperationsHow does a government agency judge whether an AI system is really ready to go live?
