DS 105 Practice Center

Use simulated on-chain transaction, financial evidence and sustainability-claim data to practice digital-finance evidence reading, AI evidence checking and sustainability-claim auditing.

Info

This is simulated teaching data. All companies, wallets, assets, events and values are fictional and do not represent real companies, investment products or market conditions. Nothing in this course constitutes investment advice.

Warning

This course teaches evidence and decision literacy. It does not provide personalized investment advice. Real financial decisions require applicable regulation, authoritative data, professional advice where appropriate, and individual risk assessment.

Warning

Use only the simulated files provided by the course. Unless authorized, never paste confidential institutional data, client personal data, or unauthorized sensitive information into an AI tool or practice environment.

Simulated on-chain transaction record

DS105_Onchain_Transactions.csv

30-50 simulated transaction rows: timestamp, wallet_id, asset, action, amount, tx_id, with at least 4 wallets, 2 assets, 3 action types, a volume spike, and one ambiguous event that cannot be explained from the data alone. Used in Module 1's AI Evidence Reading Lab and Core Exercise 1.

Download

Simulated financial evidence data

DS105_Financial_Evidence.csv

Revenue growth, debt level, carbon-emissions change, ESG news signal and controversy count for several simulated companies, for practicing multi-source comparison, missing-evidence detection and auditing an overconfident recommendation. Used in Module 2's AI as Evidence Analyst and Core Exercise 2.

Download

Simulated sustainability claims data

DS105_Sustainability_Claims.csv

A set of simulated sustainability claims with matching quantitative indicators (emissions trend, offset share, Scope 3 boundary status, etc.), combined with the transition plan and news extracts into a greenwashing-detection evidence pack. Used in Module 3.

Download

Simulated company transition plan

DS105_Company_Transition_Plan.txt

A simulated company transition-plan narrative with targets, CapEx allocation and timeline, deliberately showing partial transition effort without full Scope 3 coverage. Used in Module 3's greenwashing detection lab.

Download

Simulated external news extracts

DS105_External_News_Extracts.txt

Simulated third-party news and controversy extracts, providing external evidence that may agree or conflict with the company's own claim. Used in Module 3's greenwashing detection lab.

AI Financial Intelligence Canvas template

DS105_AI_Financial_Intelligence_Canvas.md

A field template for the capstone apply exercise (decision, claim, evidence, source fitness, AI analysis, evidence gap, risk, human decision, confidence, rationale), usable as a draft before the online form.

Core exercises

Core Exercise 1: Digital Finance Evidence Card

Use the simulated on-chain transaction record to practice separating observed facts from possible interpretations, and naming what evidence is still missing.

Files used: Simulated on-chain transaction record

Steps

  1. Load DS105_Onchain_Transactions.csv and find the most notable event in the data (e.g. a volume spike).
  2. Describe only what is directly visible in the data for that event (Observed Data).
  3. Propose one Possible Interpretation and one Alternative Interpretation.
  4. Write down What We Still Don't Know and the Additional Evidence Needed.

What you produce

  • A completed Digital Finance Evidence Card (Event / Observed Data / Possible Interpretation / Alternative Interpretation / What We Still Don't Know / Additional Evidence Needed)

Core Exercise 2: AI Financial Evidence Check

Use the simulated financial evidence data to ask AI to separately list facts, patterns, missing evidence and uncertainty, and record source fitness and decision risk.

Files used: Simulated financial evidence data

Steps

  1. Load DS105_Financial_Evidence.csv and pick a decision question (e.g. which of these companies deserves further sustainability investigation?).
  2. Assess this data's source fitness for that decision (Authority/Relevance/Coverage/Timeliness/Definition/Comparability/Traceability/Limitations).
  3. Ask AI to separately list facts, inferences, missing evidence and unsupported claims.
  4. Write down the risk if the judgment is wrong, and what must go to human review.

What you produce

  • A completed AI Financial Evidence Check (Decision Question / Data Used / Source Fitness / Facts / AI Inferences / Missing Evidence / Unsupported Claims / Risk if Wrong / Human Review Required)

Core Exercise 3: Sustainable Finance Claim Audit

Use the simulated sustainability claims data, company transition plan and external news extracts to audit a "carbon-neutral" claim and flag greenwashing risk.

Files used: Simulated sustainability claims data, Simulated company transition plan, Simulated external news extracts

Steps

  1. Read all three simulated evidence files and list the evidence supporting and contradicting the claim.
  2. Identify missing evidence (e.g. unclear Scope 3 boundary, missing assurance field).
  3. Classify the overall claim as VERIFIED/PLAUSIBLE/UNSUPPORTED/CONTRADICTED/NEEDS MORE EVIDENCE, with reasoning.
  4. Make a human decision (Proceed/Proceed with Conditions/Need More Evidence/Reject) with a stated confidence level (High/Medium/Low).

What you produce

  • A completed Sustainable Finance Claim Audit (Claim / Criteria / Supporting Evidence / Contradicting Evidence / Missing Evidence / Greenwashing Risk / AI Assessment / Human Decision / Confidence / Conditions / Next Evidence)
