- Module sections: when you select "Mark as complete"
- Practice tasks: when you mark them complete
- Assessments: after a successful submission; for AI 102 to AI 302 any submission counts, for DS, AD and AI 101L courses only the post-test counts
- Apply: after a Use Case or Canvas is submitted successfully
Course progress = (completed sections + completed activities) ÷ all items. AI 101’s pre/post scores are kept only on the server and are not part of local activity progress.
Progress in your browser
By default, completed sections and activities are stored only in the browser you are using; no sign-in is needed and nothing is uploaded. Self-checks in modules record only that you practiced, never whether you were right, and are never uploaded.
Opting in to sync
When you join progress sync in My Learning, lesson completions are sent to the session under your session code and learner code, and your instructor can see aggregate progress. Sync needs no sign-in; the session must be open.
Joining merges the browser’s and the server’s records. "Leave" only stops this browser from syncing; records already sent stay with the session.
The AD series does not yet support server-side sync for lesson completion; that record stays only in the browser you are using. Its pre-test/post-test assessment results still reach the server as usual.
Reset and loss
- Clearing browser data, using a private window or changing device leaves local progress behind
- Lesson completions you synced can be restored by joining sync again with the same codes
- Self-check practice records cannot be restored
Privacy
Sync uses only your session code and learner code, with no name or email. Do not use your real name as your learner code.
