- Get the session code from your instructor (example: DEMO-2026-01; use the code you are actually given)
- Choose a learner code; do not use your real name, student ID or email
- Use the same learner code for every activity in the session
- Some codes are "event codes" that do not belong to one course and work for workshops across several courses or campus events; a class code belongs to one course and cannot be used for another
Steps
- 1Open a page that needs a code
For example the pre-test, post-test, Use Case, Canvas, Exit Ticket or progress sync in My Learning - 2Enter the session code
Type it exactly as given, including capitalization and hyphens - 3Enter your learner code
Use the learner code you chose and will keep using - 4Submit
When the session is open you can start or submit
Expected result
The page accepts the codes and starts the assessment or completes the submission. Using the same codes later links your pre-test, post-test and submissions.
Common problems
- 1Session not found
Check for typos, and confirm with your instructor that it is the code for this course. - 2Session not open or closed
Only an open session accepts submissions. Ask your instructor to check the session status. - 3I forgot my learner code
The platform does not store your real identity, so it cannot look the code up for you. Contact your instructor.
