Learning, practice, assessment and form submissions do not need an account; they use session and learner codes. Signing in is needed for the Skills Passport and for the instructor or admin areas.
Steps
- 1Sign in
Select "Sign in" in the header and continue with Google; email and password is also available where enabled - 2View and edit your profile
Profile shows your verified email and lets you edit your display name and a separate Certificate name, which is the name printed on your certificates (leave it blank to use your display name) - 3Manage security
Account & Security lets you change or add a password, see the course sessions you joined, and sign out - 4See your roles
Roles & Permissions lists the roles you hold; only an admin can change them
Expected result
You are signed in and can use the features that match your roles. Joining a course session with a code only enrolls you; it never grants instructor or admin access. A certificate keeps the name it was issued with, so changing your Certificate name later never alters a certificate already issued.
Common problems
- 1I forgot my password
Use "Forgot password" on the sign-in page. - 2I’m signed in but still can’t see the instructor or admin area
Your account has not been granted that role yet; contact an admin.
