By default, progress lives only in the current browser. Clearing browser data, using a private window or switching devices leaves that local progress behind.
- Sync needs a session code from your instructor, and the session must be open
- Sync does not require signing in
Steps
- 1Record progress
Select "Mark as complete" after a section; mark practice tasks the same way; successful assessment or apply submissions count automatically - 2Check progress
Open My Learning to see each course’s progress and "Continue learning" - 3Turn on sync (optional)
In My Learning, expand the progress sync panel and join with your session code and learner code - 4Restore on a new device
Join sync again on the new device with the same codes; your synced lesson completions are merged back
Expected result
Course progress bars and "Continue learning" reflect what you have finished. With sync on, lesson completions are also sent to the session, so your instructor sees aggregate progress.
Common problems
- 1My progress is gone
Usually browser data was cleared or you are in a different browser. If you synced before, join again with the same codes to restore lesson completions; self-check practice records cannot be restored. - 2Stopping sync
"Leave" only stops this browser from syncing; records already sent stay with the session. - 3I finished an assessment but progress didn’t change
For some courses only the post-test counts toward progress, not the pre-test.
